Filming for Berlin Season 2 has officially started. It was last February 2024 when the streaming platform announced the renewal of the Money Heist spinoff for a second season. We now know that the series is already being recorded. After his debut on Netflix, on December 29, 2023, with 8 episodes that told the story of one of the most loved serial characters by the public, the thief of the Professor’s Band played by Pedro Alonso, the streaming platform decided to focus again on this successful series that has already entered everyone’s heart. It is a success announced but not taken for granted for a spin-off that has been able to impose itself with its identity while maintaining a link with the original series from which it draws inspiration. And just two months after its launch, Netflix has decided to continue focusing on this heist series which fans of Money Heist and beyond have particularly appreciated. The plot of this second season moves to Spain and the new robbery will take place in Seville. There, Berlin and his gang will meet new characters such as Candela, an unpredictable and capricious Sevillian woman played by Inma Cuesta (The Chaos After You); the eccentric and hedonistic Duke of Malaga Álvaro Hermoso de Medina, played by José Luis García-Pérez (Honor); and his mysterious and refined Duchess The eight episodes of the series, created by Álex Pina (Money Heist, Sky Rojo) and Esther Martínez Lobato (Money Heist, Sky Rojo), are written by them together with David Barrocal, Lorena G. Maldonado and Itziar San Juan, and will be directed by Albert Pintó (Nowhere, Sky Rojo), David Barrocal (Sky Rojo, The Atomic Refuge) and Jose Manuel Cravioto (The Atomic Refuge, Diablero).

After the end of Money Heist, Pedro Alonso certainly did not stay with his hands. His character was chosen as the protagonist of the first spin-off, as well as the prequel, from the title Berlin. In this new TV series, the protagonist is grappling with one of his most extreme blows: making jewels worth $44 million disappear. The goal is the most important auction house in Paris. But first, he must recruit the help of experienced criminals. Thus forms his team, made up of Keila, a computer security genius; Damián, an academic; Cameron, an adventurer who lives on the edge; Roi, a blacksmith; is Bruce, an expert in gadgets and weapons. The plan of Berlin proves extremely risky and, in the end, the protagonist finds himself breaking his own rules, thus jeopardizing not only his life and that of others but also his mission.
If it weren’t for Damian, most likely Berlin he would not have been able to escape from the hotel at the last second. Since the series is closely related to Money Heist, which has met with incredible success over the years, we hypothesized that its future would be rather rosy, and therefore Netflix would have ordered one season 2 of Berlin. And so it was: the spin-off has been renewed! The news of the renewal arrived on February 19, 2024, less than two months after the debut of the debut chapter. In the next few episodes, we imagine that the protagonist will play on the razor’s edge again and will somehow manage to take over the authorities again, bringing home other shots. Despite this, there is a strong possibility that Raquel and Alicia manage to unmask him, but perhaps without overwhelming evidence to present a valid case against him. Pedro Alonso once again assumes the role of the iconic “Berlin ” and, together with him, his entire gang returns: Michelle Jenner (Isabel) plays Keila, an electronic engineering genius; Tristán Ulloa (The Asunta case) is Damian, a philanthropist professor and confidant of Berlin; Begoña Vargas (Welcome Julio Peña Fernández (Through my window) plays Roi, the faithful squire of Berlin; and Joel Sánchez is Bruce, the relentless man of action of the gang.
His gang will also be ours again. We refer to the following members of the cast:
