Elite Season 8 Ending Explained: Elite Season 8 has been available on Netflix since July 26, 2024. This is the eighth and final season of the successful Spanish TV series. Once again, the plot begins with a mysterious death. Now it’s time for fans of the series to say goodbye to all its protagonists. The students of Las Encinas say goodbye to their audience with new twists. The plot this time follows the mysterious death of Joel, which seems to be linked to the two new characters, the brothers Emilia and Héctor Krawietz, who lead an association of former students of the school. Omar, helped by his sister Nadia, who has just returned to the scene, faces them, as they create chaos in Las Encinas. But who killed Joel? And why?
For many years, the series Élite was one of the most popular productions on Netflix, reaching the world in the Top 10 of the platforms with its youth story full of drama and suspense. Thus, after the release of season 8, Spanish fiction finally says goodbye to the screens. However, after watching the last episode, you may have some doubts about its outcome. Therefore, in the following lines, I present to you the ending explained of Elite Season 8. It is worth mentioning that the eighth and final season of the Netflix series focuses on the arrival of siblings Emilia and Héctor Krawietz to Las Encinas. It turns out that they shake the foundations of the institution, sowing chaos everywhere and destroying the lives of those who become their victims.
Elite Season 8: The Plot
There is not only the death of Raul at the hands of Carmen, Chloe and Ivan’s mother, at the center of the plot of “Elite Season 8“, because, as happens in every season of the TV series, there is also a new character destined to lose his life, in this case, and it is evident from the official trailer, the one who dies is Joel, Omar and Ivan’s ex-boyfriend. Everything revolves around these two events, with the protagonists who give life to a season full of intrigues, twists, secrets, rivalries, corruption, and excesses. According to the description released by Netflix, the arrival of siblings Emilia (Ane Rot) and Héctor Krawietz (Nuno Gallego), leaders of the Las Encinas alumni association, shakes the foundations of the school. Influential, powerful, corrupt and corrupting, the Krawietzes will spread chaos wherever they go and destroy the lives of those who fall prey to them. Only Omar can face them, and he will do anything to see them fall because, after all, they represent everything that has always been wrong in Las Encinas. Also helping him in this situation is his sister Nadia, already seen in the first seasons of the TV series.
The eighth and final season of Elite on Netflix investigates the mysterious death of Joel. To understand what happened, it is necessary to retrace a few steps. Joel is the victim of season 8. The pizza delivery boy, who entered the Las Encinas school, in the previous season was torn between Omar and Ivan. Now, however, they find him between Ivan and Hector. In the end, he ends up making them pay any price to satisfy the passionate desires of other influential students. Meanwhile, Luis – the corrupt cop – discovers that former students are using Isadora’s club rooms for special celebrations. The agent then decides to blackmail Isa, once again. But he refuses to make the same mistake again and asks Joel to handle the situation using his Alumni contacts. Eventually, Joel decides to confront the cop. Joel threatens Luis to destroy him using his influential contacts. The agent fears losing his job and so he puts his plan into action. Initially, he decides to kill Joel in his sleep, but when he wakes up the situation worsens. Unfortunately, the policeman still gets the upper hand. Luis kills Joel with a knife, leaving him to bleed to death. When Hector wakes up, it is too late.
Elite Season 8 Ending Explained: Who Killed Joel and Why? How Luis Dies?
At the beginning of the last episode of the final season, entitled “End of class”, we immediately find out who Joel’s killer is, namely the policeman Luis. Then the scene moves to Isadora’s place, where she, Sara, Omar, Chloe, Ivan, and Eric try to figure out how to move, with Isa telling Omar about the blackmail of the last few months and the prostitution ring organized behind her back. On this occasion they also talk about the compromising video in Chloe’s hands: Omar is worried that the other policemen could cover up the person responsible, Luis being one of them, and at the same time he wants justice for what the two brothers (the beating) did to him, Hector and Emilia Krawietz, arrested as prime suspects in Joel’s death. In the meantime, Chloe sends the video, which would exonerate the latter and which represents irrefutable proof, to Omar, telling him that he has two days to get justice “his way”.
Then Chloe tells everything to her mother Carmen, who is certain that Dalmar still has the video of Raul’s death, initially passed off by the two women as a suicide. For this very reason, she suggests to her daughter the “S plan”, that is, “escape quickly” in case the situation gets complicated, but Chloe is hesitant: “And Eric?” The scene shifts to the past, with Joel still alive and Omar trying to warn him about Hector, telling him that he is only using him as a toy and that he does not want him to end up like Samuel. Omar goes to prison to meet Hector and propose a deal: if he and Emilia revealed to the police, with a signed confession, that they beat him, taking full responsibility, he would provide them with proof of their innocence, that is, the video showing who killed Joel. Both, however, refuse to do so.
Later, Hector reveals to Luis the existence of the video and then changes his mind about the deal, deciding to call Omar to “buy” it and not have to confess to the beating: he promises to close the Las Encinas school in exchange for the video in question. Shortly before their meeting in prison, however, Omar’s laptop disappears from his house, with the compromising video inside. Now the young man doesn’t know what to do and is more and more convinced to accept Hector’s proposal, but his sister Nadia makes him understand that he is becoming just like them and convinces him to go back to the police station to file a complaint, even though once he gets there he is immediately intercepted by Luis, who threatens him and then raises his hands on him to make him hand over the proof of his crime. Omar manages to escape by shouting “Help Me” several times at the top of his lungs.
Furthermore, with the great contribution of Sara, very skilled when it comes to social media live broadcasts, Omar makes an appeal to the parents of the students at the private school asking them “Does anyone seriously want to do anything to stop all this? Is the life of your children worth so little?”. Raul’s ex-girlfriend also publishes the video of Joel’s death so that everyone in Las Encinas knows who his killer is, including the police. Meanwhile, the scene shifts to Isadora, ready to take justice into her own hands: the goal is to seduce Luis to drug him to the point of causing his death, but the policeman understands the plan orchestrated by the girl and stops her before she can carry it out. Luckily, Ivan wakes up and immediately goes to Isadora’s room. Just at that moment, the police also arrive and arrest Luis in the girl’s club. However, the latter still manages to inject him with the syringe she had prepared, causing him to die of an overdose.
But what happened to Carmen and Chloe? The two initially try to bribe Dalmar (“100 thousand euros and a good defense lawyer to give me the video and forget everything”) to prevent the video of Raul’s death, where the girl’s mother is seen looking out onto the terrace, from ending up in the hands of the police. Then Chloe, seeing him hesitant, offers him a further deal: the 100 thousand and the video that would exonerate the two “fascists” with which he could obtain a residence permit. At the end of the episode, since this evidence is first released by Omar and Sara and therefore he will be forced to abandon that reality, the young man shows the video of Raul’s death to Sara, while Carmen and Chloe run away, but not before the girl manages to say goodbye properly to Eric, forced to stay there despite his desire to leave with the two women. The final episode ends with Omar and Nadia talking to Principal Virginia, who tells them that the school will be closed due to the latest disturbing events. In short, we will never know if Sara will be able to take revenge for Raul’s untimely death, but at least it is certain that nothing bad will ever happen to Las Encinas again.
Omar Frames Luis?
So, Eric and Carmen are not the murderers. They also have problems with Joel. The latter blackmails Carmen to protect his friend Dalmar, who in the previous season had recorded a video that could frame her for Raul’s murder. Chloe’s boyfriend, Eric, decides to kill Joel, who is saved by his friend Dalmar. Hoping to record something scandalous to frame Joel, before her death, Chloe placed the phone’s camera on a shelf in her room. After the murder, Ivan and Isa find the cell phone and also the video that proves Luis’ guilt. ORmar believes, however, that the video is not enough and that the case will be closed. So, decides to use the video to blackmail Hector and Emilia, making him sign a document admitting to being responsible for his attack. The two brothers are in prison and that video can prove their innocence. Initially, Hector considers the proposal, but at the same time, he does not want to publicly admit that he beat Omar. So he suggests that the latter burn Las Encinas.
Omar hates that school, after losing Samuel and Joel, so much that he would like to destroy it. In Elite Season 8, Nadia convinces him that burning down the school is not the right solution and that Hector and Emilia would thus remain unpunished. Meanwhile, Luis discovers the presence of the video that portrays him while killing Joel and decides to do the same with Omar. The latter is concerned, in the meantime, with publicly destroying the reputation of Las Encinas, using social networks, where he reveals to the world how he has ruined several lives and how the criminals have always remained unpunished. At this point, Omar uploads the video of Joel’s murder, thus attempting to have Luis arrested.
How Luis Dies?
In the finale of Elite Season 8, the police arrive at Isadora’s house to arrest Luis. Isa was unaware of Omar’s plan and so she decided, even before, to kill the corrupt policeman, injecting him with poison. The officer understood the plan and drugged her. Fortunately, the police enter the room and save Isa. Luis is taken away and, shortly before, Isadora manages to inject him with a drug concoction in his body. And here Luis dies when the poison hits him, and he collapses on the dance floor. In the end, Isa appears satisfied with having obtained her revenge.
What Does The End Of Élite Season 8 Mean?
Later, after Omar exposes the reality of Las Encinas, the director Virginia decides to do her part and proposes to give him and Nadia all the evidence of the dark cases that occurred in the institution. It is assumed, then, that they will work together to bring this information to light. On the other hand, Dalmar decides to give Sara the video of Raúl‘s murder, because he wants to do the right thing and accepts the possibility of returning to his native country as a consequence. Thus, upon finding out that Sara has this important evidence against her, Carmen decides that it is time to move and settle abroad with her daughter.
Of course, the farewell between Chloe and Eric was not easy. However, Carmen promised the girl that she would do everything possible to reunite her beloved… one day. Élite culminates with an unexpected announcement: Virginia reveals that Las Encinas will close forever, so seniors will have to take their exams at a public school. In this way, we see our protagonists attending this institution with their luxury cars, clashing with the place and becoming the laughingstock of everyone. So, with the privileged ones completely out of their comfort zone, the story of the popular Spanish series comes to an end forever. And you, did you like this ending?
