Red Queen (Reina Roja) Order of the Books: How Many There Are Beyond the Trilogy and How They Relate To The Saga

Red Queen (Reina Roja) has become one of the great series of 2024 on Prime Video worldwide. The adaptation of the best-selling novel of the same name by Juan Gómez-Jurado has triumphed on Amazon Prime Video and has already been renewed for a second season, in which Vicky Luengo and Hovik Keuchkerian will once again play Antonia Scott, and Jon Gutiérrez. The series recounts what was written in the first book of a trilogy that has become a bestseller all over the world, but contrary to what many think, the literary universe extends beyond the three installments.

Juan Gómez-Jurado started the story of Reina Roja back in 2018, but the truth is that the germ of Antonia Scott’s story goes back to 2014, when the author published The Patient, while in 2015 he wrote the novel in which The New Amazon Prime Video series, Scars, is based, one of the several prequels to the main plot and which will soon also be adapted on the streaming platform. In What Order Should You Read the ‘Red Queen’ Books?

The main trilogy is made up of Red Queen, Black Wolf, and White King, although they are neither the first nor the last books to be read since Juan Gómez-Jurado’s universe begins with the aforementioned novels The Patient and Cicatrices. The first of them can be read completely independently, although it is framed within the story of Antonia Scott since it serves as the important letter of introduction for Mr. White. In Scars, readers meet the gifted Antonia Scott for the first time, and it will be the next story from the Red Queen universe to be adapted into a television series. Although both this novel and The Patient are not essential to understanding the story of the main trilogy, they can help to delve a little deeper into the story of Mr. White and the character played by Vicky Luengo.

Once the two prequels have been read, it is the turn of the trilogy as such, and although many believe that everything ends there, the reality is that Juan Gómez-Jurado has recently published biology which further expands the literary world. Everything Burns and Everything returns take place after White King and start a new cycle of this exciting story that has captivated millions of readers and viewers around the planet.
