Attack on Titan Final Season Part 3 represents the long-awaited anime that will conclude the famous manga series of the same name, Shingeki no Kyojinby Haijme Isayama. In this context, we report the information currently available on the new developments that will lead the story toward the long-awaited epilogue of one of the most loved, discussed, and followed works of the last ten years. The animation studio Wit Studio, led by the direction of Tetsuro Araki, gave life to the ambitious project which is now moving towards an imminent conclusion, characterized by meticulous work on the part of the animators and managers of the animation studio MAPPA (Chainsaw Man, Jujutsu Kaisen and Vinland Saga Season 2 among others).

Precisely, the animation studio MAPPA took over the responsibility of the adaptation starting from the Final Season in 2020. During the production process, the decision was made to fragment the Final Season into three parts to ensure better quality of the anime and flexibility in timing. The three parts are titled as follows: Attack on Titan: Final Season, Attack on Titan Final Season: Part 2, and Attack on Titan Final Season: Part 3. The first part was broadcast between December 2020 and March 2021, while the second part aired from January to March 2022. The third part is in turn divided into two halves, with the first half available from 4 March 2023, while the second half will be presented to the public on November 4, 2023.

The manga of the same name was created by Hajime Isayama and published in the monthly pages of Bessatsu Shonen Magazine. In 2011 the manga achieved great visibility and obtained first place in the Kodansha Manga Award competition in the best shonen of the year category. Just over ten years later comes the final Chapter (139) serialized in April 2021, and then collected in Volume (34th) in June 2021. Now, almost two years after the conclusion of the manga, the animated adaptation is also being made with the participation of the author himself, currently free from the deadlines imposed by the publishing house Kodansha.

The finale of the anime presents the epic conflict between Marley and Eldia characterized by the assault of the Giants, ravenous and destructive creatures determined to decimate humanity. The protagonist, Eren Jaeger, has always shown the will to eliminate every destructive entity for the salvation of humanity. In his role as a hero, he has lived long enough to transform himself into an antagonist. At a certain point, he realizes that his intentions are not enough and that something more is needed, even at the cost of hurting the people he cares about and the innocent. Therefore, Eren decides to carry everyone’s pain and hopes upon himself and, for better or for worse, faces written destiny, an element that in Isayama’s work seems immutable even though it continues to repeat itself, shaping the future. Naturally, his historic companions will not stand by, and this will lead to an all-out war whose outcome is impossible to predict.

The Focal Points to be Developed!

After betraying his half-brother Zeke, Eren’s plan involves destruction using the power of the roar generated by the Founding Giant’s coordinate, starting the so-called “March of the Giants“. Eren aims to destroy the rest of the world, even at the cost of involving innocent people and children, leaving only his home island and that of his historical friend, Paradis, intact. What Eren imagined in his mind is coming true, but Armin and his companions will do everything they can to try to stop it. Eren, now lost in himself, has changed and no longer shows interest in protecting already wounded humanity, something that once distinguished him.

Having reached this point in the story, therefore, it is necessary to refine the narrative on the fate of Paradis, Eren’s point of view now that he no longer seems to follow the mutual objective of his historical companions and, finally, clarify the true origin of the Giants. The story of young Ymir has shed light on how the power of the Giants has been passed down from generation to generation, but there are still uncertainties regarding its origins. Appearing like a spine-like parasitic organism, the Seed of Destruction chose to join Ymir during her escape from the Eldian captors, and from that moment on, nothing was the same. However, the picture is not yet completely clear, especially regarding the connection between the Founding Giant (Eren), the otherworldly Path, and the creature itself.

After Eren declares war on humanity outside the walls, followed by Willy Tybur’s attack and the resulting loss of innocent lives, Paradis Island once again finds itself under attack from Marley’s warlike intentions. Understandably, the population across the ocean must defend itself from the murders caused by the hatred of the bearer of the Founding Giant. According to Eren’s warning, there is no more time to think rationally. Humanity has long been trapped in a chain of destruction, therefore decisive and resolute action is needed. This position contrasts with that of his old friend, Armin, who instead aims for a diplomatic solution to negotiate peace with Marley and save Paradis. A third alternative is proposed by Zeke, Eren’s half-brother, who even suggests the extreme option of euthanasia, imperfect but feasible. Through this act resulting from Zeke’s royal blood and the power of Eren’s founding giant, humanity would cease to procreate and bring an end to the disaster that has been perpetrated thus far.

The battle between these ideologies will play an important role in the resolution of this ancient war, until the longed-for epilogue. Eren‘s point of view is the one that requires a more in-depth narrative revision. In recent developments, the character has undergone a profound change, although his goal of achieving freedom remains the same. What has changed is her approach to achieving it, including carrying out violent acts against innocent people (as in the case of the attack on Willy Tybur) and against innocent humans as long as they are from Marley, the current adversary nation. However, it is important to clarify the fate of his historical friends from Paradis in case Eren, who wishes to preserve the life of the island and its inhabitants, decides to continue the March of the Giants to the end.

It is true that through this approach Eren could be able to decimate most of his enemies. However, one should not underestimate the fact that these very enemies, equipped with new armament, would certainly react by opening fire against those that Eren would like to preserve. Thus, the main target to be taken down could end up endangering his plans and intentions. Furthermore, Eren and Mikasa‘s relationship is becoming more and more controversial. Although they grew up as half-siblings and have a very close family bond, despite the lack of a blood tie, now the possibility of a romantic relationship between them is seriously questioned due to Eren’s actions during the verbal encounter with Mikasa and Armin. During that confrontation, Eren expressly declared his hatred towards his stable emotional ties, considering them incapable of acting in total freedom. The possible lead that Eren could be the father of Queen Historia’s son should also be considered, an eventuality that would inevitably lead to a different epilogue for the relationship between Eren and Mikasa.

Episodes, Adaptation Story Arc, and Where to Read in the Manga?

The first half of Part 3 was presented to the public in a single solution; therefore it is not divided into episodes, with a special lasting an exceptional one hour. The episode is identified with the progressive number of 88, taking into account the previous seasons, and resumes the adaptation of the manga from Chapter 131 (Volume 33) entitled “The Boato”. The second half will be entrusted with the remaining 8 episodes of the manga (from number 132 to number 139).

The ending of Attack on Titan, according to the words of Hajime Isayama himself spread on X/Twitter in an interview following the conclusion of the manga, was misunderstood due to its controversies and the author felt regrets not being able to express it best. The author, in other words, believed he had failed to please everyone in light of the difficulties in realizing the climax. Attack on Titan Final Season Part 3: When the Final Episode Comes Out, the Trailer, What it’s About?

The final episode, also considered as the second half of the third part of the Final Season, will be released on November 4 and will consist of a total duration of 90 minutes (one hour and thirty minutes). On September 12th, the new trailer dedicated to the dramatic and frenetic final episode was released. The war between humanity and Eren Yeager has reached its peak, but there are still many surprises in store. The emotional tension is tangible and is reflected in the eyes of the protagonists, deeply shaken by the actions of the one they once considered a friend.

The band from Kanagawa Prefecture has already performed the opening for Part 2 with the famous song “The Rumbling”. This song achieved considerable success by debuting on the main US Billboard charts. It reached #1 on the “Hot Hard Rock Songs” chart, #5 on the “Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles” chart, #2 on the “Hard Rock Digital Song Sales” chart, and #13 on the “Hot Rock & Alternative” chart Songs”. Attack on Titan Final Season Part 3: Where to watch Streaming

The first half is available outside Japan, therefore also in other countries, and subtitled form on Crunchyroll. The special is divided into two episodes released on the same day and at the same time only for on-demand streaming services overseas. The titles of the two episodes that form the first part are: “The Roar of the Earth” and “Sinners”. He possesses the power of the armored giant. He is the only fighter to have returned to Marley, his hometown, after having infiltrated the island of Paradis, i.e. the first real attack of the giants revealed in the series following which, among other events, leads to the death of Eren’s mother. The result of this action is unresolved guilt for the character.

• Annie Leonhart

She possesses the power of the female giant. She awoke from a long sleep wrapped in a layer of crystal for four years. During this time Armin visited her very often and developed a deep sense of affection for the girl.

• Pieck Finger

Pieck possesses the power of the giant chariot, and his ability allows his troops to boast surprise attacks. The main qualities are composure and judgment.

• Zeke Jaeger

Eren’s half-brother from a different mother, Zeke possesses the power of the fearsome giant beast. Warrior leader known by the nickname of a child prodigy, for the plague against the giants, proposes the solution of euthanasia. In other words, he would aim to make the Eldians incapable of conceiving children by exploiting the power of his royal blood and the power of Eren’s founding giant. Zeke’s mother becomes a giant who ends up killing Eren’s mother early in the series.

A loyal follower of Zeke, he gathered the volunteer soldiers. During the expedition to Marley, she was disguised as a man.

• Onyankopon

He went with Yelena to the island of Paradis to provide the advanced technology of the Marleyan civilization. His driving skills will be fundamental in the finale.

• Gabi Brown

He represents the new generation of soldiers who unfortunately witnessed the severity of the plague. Despite her young age, she is fearless and aspires to inherit the armored giant. She is Reiner’s cousin.

• Falco Grice

He is also part of the new generation of soldiers and has feelings towards Gabi. Falco comes into contact with Eren during his infiltration of Marley and will have a key role in the final scenes.
