A conspiracy is hatched against a soldier who is trying to expose an arms dealer who is hollowing the country from within. He is accused of being a traitor. But, there is much more that Shahrukh Khan has said in this film, which is also a commentary on the current politics of the country by a conscious producer, an excellent director, and an accomplished actor. A new wave of viewers coming to the seven o’clock morning show with their families has started. This is the real magic of first Pathan, then Gadar 2‘, and now Jawan is becoming a celebration from the very first day of its release.

Jawan Movie Review: The Story Plot

The story of the film begins with a train hijack. The hijacker (Shahrukh with a bald look) demanded to talk to the agriculture minister instead of the 376 passengers of the train. He demands an amount from the agriculture minister, which is not possible even for the government to arrange within 5 minutes! But in the hijacked metro train is also the daughter of a big “businessman” Kali (Vijay Sethupathi). The train hijacker’s advice is that when the government can waive off the loans of businessmen, it can also take help from them to save the lives of the people trapped on the train. By the time this entire episode ends, the loans of 7 lakh farmers will have been waived off with the ransom money. A girl gang is also with that man in hijacking the train. They all have their own stories.

This person, who has become a criminal in the eyes of the law, becomes a hero in the eyes of the public. A modern Robinhood is helping the public by looting money from businessmen. But is this man’s act as true as it appears? Is there some other real motive behind this? The responsibility of stopping train hijacking has been given to a special force, which is being led by Officer Narmada Rai (Nayanthara). Narmada is a single mother, but she wants to get married to her daughter. Azad (Shah Rukh), the warden of a women’s prison, enters his life. But there are some secrets in the story of Azad. Does Azad have any connection with the train hijacker? The train hijacker had whispered his name into the ears of the businessman’s daughter. After all, what is the story of this name? And why was Kali shaken after hearing this name? Deepika Padukone also had a special appearance in the trailer. What is their story? The film answers all these questions on screen.

Jawan Movie Review and Analysis

This film is fantastic, the first 30 minutes are a ruckus. After this, the songs slow down the pace of the film but not much. There are twists one after the other in the film and you keep getting surprised. You can feel the charisma that King Khan brings on screen just by sitting in the theatre. It cannot be written in any way. Shahrukh appears in a new avatar one after the other and creates a stir. When Shahrukh comes with white hair and a beard, it seems that he cannot be more handsome than this old man. Shahrukh may have done romance till now, but this film tells that King Khan is a king and when he works his magic, every magic fails. If songs are left out of the film, then nothing seems boring. Doesn’t seem like much. You are entertained till the end and are entertained tremendously.

Shahrukh Khan has done amazing acting. Whistles are played in every scene of his dialogue. For the first time, bald Shahrukh is seen here, and he sets the screen on fire. Shahrukh has broken his image. Vijay Sethupathi has given life to the role of villain. The heroism of the hero comes to the fore only when the villain is strong and there could not have been a stronger villain than this. He spreads fear as soon as he comes on the screen. Nayantara looks amazing and her acting is also tremendous. Deepika’s role is small, but she leaves her impact. Riddhi Dogra and Sanya Malhotra’s roles are small but important and they have also done a good job. Atlee has given a grand presence on screen to Shahrukh’s characters in his trademark style. With the powerful music of Anirudh Ravichander, these characters get that elevation which makes the hero bigger not only from reality but also from the cinema screen. You get to see Shahrukh’s action scenes now and then throughout the film, from beginning to end.

There is a 10-minute sequence at the beginning of the film, in which the hero of the story is treated as if he is a superhero. While doing action, the way he displays his fighter skills makes him superhuman. Every fight scene and every action block are a treat for a die-hard action-lover viewer. Jawan is a 2 hours 45 minutes long film. But despite this long run time, nowhere does it feel as if anything is meaningless. But in fitting a lot of interesting elements into the story, it seems that the film is running back and forth very fast. That’s why when the film stops at a scene in Azad’s childhood story, you can feel the emotions. At the end of this sequence, the audience themselves may become emotional.

But this pause comes out better only in this one sequence. There was a need for some pause in the sequence of farmer’s suicides or the sequence of children struggling with lack of oxygen in the hospital and doctors fighting for them. But perhaps the long runtime of the film was also ticking on the editor’s mind. The climax of Jawan could have been a little better. Right now, there is action and swag in it. But based on the background of the characters, Jawan falls a little short of the emotional finale that should have been given. The swag that Atlee might have imagined for the hero of Jawan, Shahrukh has been brought on screen with full weight. Be it action or just talking, Shahrukh’s work maintains a full score on the swag meter. The most interesting thing is that the highlight here is not just ‘superstar’ Shahrukh, but ‘actor’ Shahrukh also gets the full opportunity to show his shine.

Perhaps no one else could have looked more perfect than Nayantara in the role of a special officer. The stronger she is in this character, the more vulnerable she becomes for a moment on the demand of the story. Vijay Sethupathi once again shows why his name comes to mind immediately after making a list of the best actors in the country. The work of the supporting cast is also very solid in Jawan. Lahar Khan, who has done excellent films like ‘Parched’, is seen in a very emotional subplot here. He has done a solid job in his small part. Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, and Riddhi Dogra are also powerful in their roles. Sunil Grover keeps getting attention separately, although it would have been more fun to see his character a little more in the story.

In his acting journey, whenever Shahrukh Khan has been playing characters that hurt social issues, people have liked him a lot. There is a kind of honesty in his personality and with this honesty when he tries to say something on screen through a character, it goes straight to the heart. Here he talks about the suicides of those farmers who are being harassed for a few thousand rupees by the same banks who keep forgetting millions of crores of rupees of Dhan Kubers by declaring them as NPAs (Non-Performing Assets). And, not only the farmers, but it is also a matter of the plight of government hospitals in the country. The situation improves when the health minister of the state is brought to a government hospital for an operation after being shot. Health and agriculture are matters directly related to the general public and apart from this another matter has been in constant discussion in the country.

That of distributing rewards by political parties just before the elections. Amidst the discussions of one nation-one election, the film ‘Jawan’ is also a reminder film for the voters. Well, all these are the things that the viewers who understand the relationship between cinema and society will keep on thinking about. The film ‘Jawan’ is a continuation of the youth Shahrukh Khan got from the film ‘Pathan’ at the box office. He has also talked openly about why he made this film. Atlee told him the story of the film Jawan, the gist of which was that there is a guy who creates fun on the screen with a lot of prisoners, does action, sings songs, and speaks explosive dialogues like, ‘Bette ko Talk to the father before touching!’ Here both have the same DNA. Just like real-life Shahrukh Khan. Atlee has created an interesting story by mixing the story of an orphan son with the story of a soldier. When a son grows up, a girl meets him while searching for a father for herself rather than the husband of her unmarried mother. This marriage of a lawkeeper and a criminal also brings with it the disturbances in the horoscopes.

‘Jawan’ is a mass entertainer film in the form of a two-hour 46-minute film of Gopis, Kanhaiya, and Guns. The film has all the elements that Mumbai cinema has been famous for in the past. This is a typical masala film, but it has the sheen of an action film and Shah Rukh Khan also explains some such things to the audience who came to watch the film, which the audience stops for a few moments to think. The politics of sending money to people’s accounts is not very old in the country. 2000 Note also has a similar story. And the story of Jawan is such that it gets a lot of curd and butter from the exploits of jail-born Kanhaiya. The Gopis are here both to create Raas and also to support the religious war. As a writer-director, Atlee has woven the threads of the story very cleverly. That is why the film does not slow down except for one or two songs.

Seeing Shah Rukh Khan on screen has become a different celebration these days. As has been happening in South India at the time of the release of films of Rajinikanth, Vijay, and other stars, now the band Baja has started ringing on the release of Shahrukh’s films as well. And, Shah Rukh is thoroughly enjoying this new chapter in fame. His style of walking on the screen has got a different style by getting a new mix of bullying. He is a repackaged hero who blows away the worries of the times. He does not remember the past and when he remembers, the time of the person in front of him starts passing. Shahrukh has done an amazing job in both the roles of Vikram and Azad. And these characters wonder that among the recently released films, if the character of a star like Vijay Sethupathi has been devalued to such an extent, then that film is Jawan.

the film ‘Jawan’ is full of female characters. The practice of giving the names of the first female actors in the credits was started by Raj Kapoor. Shahrukh has taken it forward in this period. Nayantara was promoted as a heroine in this team, but the real heroine of the film is Deepika Padukone. His role is limited but his impact is unlimited. In the character of Aishwarya, who beats her lover in the arena, Deepika shines on the screen in such a powerful way that Nayantara and the other girls start to lose their shine in front of her. Deepika’s look, elegance, redness, and sharpness, especially in the series of scenes of becoming a mother, are all worth seeing and also worth crying. Nayanthara’s job is to rein in the unbridled protagonist in the film. His character also tries well and, in this sense, he is going to get many new fans in the Hindi belt.

Apart from the story, screenplay, direction, and acting, the cinematography and editing of the film Jawan is also no less than a star. GK Vishnu has done international standard camera work in the action sequences of the film. Ruben has fought no less battle on the editing table and in this, he has emerged victorious. Yes, Shahrukh and Nayanthara’s song comes in the middle of the film and hinders the flow of the story. Since Atlee is a South Indian filmmaker, he has also chosen the music composer himself. According to the sentiments there, Anirudh would have done a good job, but if the music was kept according to the Hindi-speaking areas in this film, it would have been a different matter!

Atlee’s film has some explosive action sequences, which are original. Be it setting the bike on fire with a cigar and blowing up enemy vehicles with it or using a cylinder while fighting a pillar-like man, Attlee has not repeated the fight action anywhere. The songs of the film are fine, but the background music becomes very loud in many places, due to which it is difficult to hear the dialogue. Black and white, dark tone has been used while showing some flashback scenes in the film, which leaves a different impact. Cinematography and editing have left no stone unturned in making the film perfect. However, Shah Rukh Khan’s free makeup is a major drawback of this film. Even at the age of 57, Shahrukh plays every character with ease, so that the viewer feels that it is made for him only. But his make-up in the character of Azad repeatedly gives the feeling that an attempt is being made to hide his age. Hairstyle and beard could have been worked on differently.

Jawan Movie Review: The Last Words

Jawan is a completely packed script. Whatever it was trying to say, the film succeeded in saying it effectively to a great extent. But in packing so many elements, the film also seems a little overloaded. However, there is no doubt that it has brought Shahrukh’s best cinematic moments. Shahrukh’s exposed swag takes him to the pinnacle of how big a hero Jawan shows its hero to be. This is such a film which will generate applause and whistles every 10-15 minutes in packed theatres. Overall, if you are a fan of cinema. If you are crazy about Shahrukh then book your tickets immediately because you will know only there how the theater turns into a stadium.
