The Crown Season 6: The Photos of The Netflix Series Reveal William and Kate

Netflix unveils the first photos from The Crown Season 6 which will be available on Netflix by the end of 2023. At the center of the final season of a new decade in the history of the kingdom: Prince William embarks on his journey to the University of St. Andrews, determined to lead a life as normal as possible. Kate Middleton also begins her academic career at the same university, where they meet, their love story begins and a new future for The Crown begins.

The already well-known cast is joined by actor Ed McVey (23), making his screen debut, who will play Prince William in the final episodes of this season, and newcomer Meg Bellamy (19), who after sending a video for the audition, she was selected for the role of Kate Middleton. Filming for this new season was filmed in St. Andrews, Scotland earlier this year, allowing Ed and Meg to experience and enjoy some of the places Prince William and Kate Middleton have frequented for twenty years. Among the photos, is also an iconic shot of the two actors posing in front of the Northpoint Cafe in St. Andrews, which claims to be the place “where Kate met Wills”.

The Crown Is Nearing Its End

The production made its screen debut in 2016, with Claire Foy playing a newly crowned young Queen Elizabeth II. The first two seasons focused on the early years of the monarch’s reign and the drama of her family during that time. The season follows the Queen as she navigates Britain’s political and economic woes, as well as numerous issues with family members, including her two eldest children, Prince Charles and Princess Anne.

The fifth installment has a renewed cast, a situation that they carry out every two seasons, to reflect the passage of time in the life of the royal family.

Another event that is expected to be portrayed is Princess Diana’s controversial interview with Martin Bashir of the BBC in 1995, where he uttered his well-remembered phrase “There were three people in my marriage”, referring to Charles’s lover (and now his wife) Camilla Parker-Bowles.
