Shehzada is the Hindi remake of the Telugu film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo starring Allu Arjun. This Telugu movie released in the year 2020 starred Allu Arjun, Pooja Hegde, and Tabu in central roles. After the success of the film Pushpa: The Rise, Allu Arjun has made his mark in the Hindi belt. Now his remake stars actor Kartik Aaryan in the central role. This is his first film as a producer. Rohit Dhawan has adapted the story written by Trivikram Srinivas. Here some characters have been removed. For those who have seen this film by Allu Arjun, Shehzada is not for them. This is the story of a middle-class boy Bantu. Amid his struggle to get a job, he comes to know that he is the son of a millionaire. After this, many types of incidents happen, and the story moves forward by holding the rope of those incidents.

Most of the characters in the film have also kept the same names. Rohit has followed the visual structure of the original film’s director Trivikram Srinivas. In the Hindi remake, the cast is different, and the location is slightly different, but the situation and emotion are the same. It can be said that the same story was staged by different actors with different languages and facilities. The scenes have been made vulnerable and impressive by the artist’s ability. The special thing is that Sachin Khedekar was in the role of Nana in the original film. He is in the same role in the remake as well.

Shehzada Movie Review: The Story

Randeep (Ronit Rai) and Valmiki (Paresh Rawal) start their career together in the company of wealthy businessman Aditya Jindal. Randeep later marries Yashu (Manisha Koirala), daughter of Aditya Jindal (Sachin Khedekar), and becomes a rich man. While Valmiki remains a clerk. Both children are born on the same day. Valmiki puts his son in place of Randeep’s son in the hospital. The story moves forward 25 years. Valmiki’s behavior does not go down well with Bantu (Karthik Aryan). He is always taunting. Meanwhile, Samara (Kriti Sanon) enters Bantu’s life. But Samara gets engaged to Randeep’s son Raj (Ankur Rathi). Events take a dramatic turn as Bantu learns the truth. How will he make his place in Randeep’s family? Will he reveal this truth to the family? The story progresses on this aspect.

There is nothing new in the story. It will look like the movies of 80-90s. The child is replaced. When he grows up, he comes to know about his real parents. He saves them from the villain. Rohit Dhawan has written it by adapting it from the original Telugu film. But what is written? Why is it written? Looking at this, you will feel like South’s pictures coming on Setmax. Rohit Dhawan had gone to make a remake of South and took a picture of South only. Similarly, people fly in slow motion. Such stylish action. In the entire picture, Karthik Aryan gets hit only in a few places. We have maligned Salman silently. At least they get beaten before killing. Karthik Aryan didn’t even get a scratch. At least a little blood would have come out from the side of the lips. Karthik also runs in the corridor of the hospital as if he is going to kill someone. There should have been some decorum. In the very first meeting, Karthik starts making sexist comments about his boss. Shahrukh’s signature step is being done amidst the beating. Amazing case.

Shehzada Movie Review and Analysis

I am being a bit harsh here, but there is no special element in the screenplay. You know the next step for the characters. There are also many illogical things. What are they? For that, some revelations will have to be made. Be careful, the spoiler is coming. A man agrees to hand over his son to the owner in place of his dead son. Where is so much morality brother? Someone will hand over his son to someone just like that! The plot involving Sunny Hinduja is very weakly written. What happened to them, in the end, is not known. While he is the main villain of the story. The attack on Jindal has nothing to do with anyone. Valmiki Bhaisaheb has such a big scandal. He was slapped and released.

The dialogues are written by Hussain Dalal. He was trolled a lot during Brahmastra. There are some not-very-good dialogues here too. But trollers like me will be disappointed. He has also written some great dialogues. Like: We poor had only one sorrow, you rich took that too. On many occasions, the dialogues seem like sermons. As if reading the lesson of moral education. Manisha Koirala’s dialogues in Khaksar End. There are some major spoilers in them, so will not tell. On the acting front, Karthik Aryan has done the same work as he does. He has created an audience of his own. His only goal is to entertain her. Karthik has been successful in that.

He needs to work a lot on his acting. But there is one thing, it is not necessary to be an actor to become a star. Rohit Dhawan has also wasted an actress like Manisha Koirala. He has also not done well acting in this film. Kriti Sanon has now established herself in such characters. She can do such work even by closing her eyes. Paresh Rawal has done a great job as usual. His comic timing is made on sight. Ronit Roy and Sachin Khedekar played their parts properly. Sunny Hinduja has done OK-OK work. I could not accept him as a villain. Best work by Rajpal Yadav. He comes on the film only for five to seven minutes. They go away after winning hearts. No director can be asked to do what he does with his body language. Only the actor himself can do it. Rajpal Yadav is awesome.

Shehzada Movie Review: The Last Words

Sachin Khedekar’s work is noteworthy. Manisha Koirala, Ronit Roy, and the supporting cast have done justice to their roles. The cinematography of the film is enticing. The song music of the film is average. Masala entertainer films are not judged by their story or technique. It is seen in this how successful these films were in entertaining the audience. This film has not been able to live up to that scale. You must be waiting to hear the final verdict. If you have liked Karthik’s old films, then this one will also come. If you don’t like it, then there is no need to waste money. That’s it for today’s review.
