Gunn is currently writing the script, and Safran hopes the director will also helm the DC Universe film. For release on July 11, 2025, Superman: Legacy will not be an origin story, but will focus on Clark’s struggle to balance his life as a superhero and human. The story will also explore Superman as a beacon of kindness in a world that believes that kind of feeling is antiquated.

Gunn is currently outlining the film, which will be based on characters from Wildstorm. The DC Universe imprint will come with the live-action film. According to DC Studios, The Authority explores anti-heroes, who have good intentions, as they have to go to extremes due to a corrupted and broken world.

The Brave and the Bold

This will be a Batman and Robin story, with a new star playing the Dark Knight. Robert Pattinson and Ben Affleck will therefore not be the protagonists of this film. The story sees Bruce discovering that Damian Wayne is his son. Trained to be an assassin, Bruce must now raise Damian under his wing. The Brave and the Bold will also include other members of the Bat-family. It has not been revealed if they have decided which actors will join the DC Universe to play the characters, or if the Studios will also use stars who have already appeared in the past.

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow

The Steel Woman has gotten her own solo film, which will be based on Tom King’s recent DC Universe run as the “architect” on the project. While Superman grew up on Earth with kind parents, Supergirl remained on a piece of the planet Krypton, which has drifted away over time. Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow will explore her life after being forced to watch many of her loved ones die tragically.
