Succession Season 4: The Theories About What’s Coming and Everything We Know

Succession has become one of the best dramas on TV, it’s managed to keep things interesting and just when we thought we’d seen it all and things couldn’t get any worse, Season 3 kicked off the Roys upside down and showed that they are more treacherous, calculating and dangerous than they first appeared. Season 3 of Succession started with a bang, Kendall Roy accused her dad of being behind the company scandal (to show him he was a bully) and that left everyone in crisis and divided. New alliances were formed, war was declared, and everyone took off their gloves. Shiv, Kendall, Roman, Logan and Conor had their agendas and plans, but things never go the way everyone wants and there is always someone who ends up more affected than the rest.

This time, Kendall almost died and the three brothers (because Connor has his problems) were “victims” of one of the biggest betrayals of the series (by Tom, no less, and Greg). The season ended on a cliffhanger, fortunately, there is already a fourth confirmed (which may or may not be the last) and that is where, apparently, the fate of the company will be decided, and therefore the future of the children hangs off a very fragile thread.

When Does Succession Season 4 Wil Release?

In the first images that were shared from the season, we can see the Roy brothers together again, probably planning their next move to avoid losing their place in the company, in addition, we can see cousin Greg in a tense situation with Tom, since Logan Roy with a thoughtful expression, as if he, too, was about to make a new decision or decide how to end his children once and for all.

What Will Happen in Succession Season 4?

In this series, anything can happen, and things tend to change radically from one episode to another. Nothing is set in stone yet, but there are a few theories about what’s to come. Variety revealed the official synopsis for the season and reads: “In the 10-episode fourth season, the sale of media conglomerate Waystar Royco to tech visionary Lukas Matsson draws ever closer. The prospect of this seismic sale causes existential angst and family division among the Roys as they anticipate what their lives will be like once the deal is complete. A power struggle ensues as the family weighs a future in which its cultural and political weight is severely reduced.

Will The Brothers Try To Regain Control?

Part of the point of the series is to meet the successor to Logan Roy (Brian Cox), and that is precise what season 4 has to show. The creator of the series said that it will not last more than 4 or 5 seasons, so there is little time left for the patriarch Roy to select the person to take his place. Theories say that none of the brothers is going to take the throne, and everything points to the fact that it could be Luka Matsson (the character from Alexander Skarsgard), who finally takes the position, but, if the brothers find out, they could do something to change it, but for that, they’re going to have to work together, in a way that they haven’t done before.

Will Logan Roy Die?

Logan has already made it clear to his kids that he’s not going to let them get kicked out of his own company unless he makes the decision, and that’s what he’s doing. Logan is like a king in the world of the series and his children know it, so some believe that the only way to get rid of him could be if he dies, which would also allow them to stop a possible purchase of the company.

Who Come Back In Season 4?

Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong, Sarah Snook, Kieran Culkin, Alan Ruck, Matthew Macfadyen, Nicholas Braun and J. Smith-Cameron are confirmed for the season, along with Alexander Skarsgard, but Variety reports that several new cast members are being added this time around, including Peter Friedman, David Rasche, Fisher Stevens, Hiam Abbass, Justine Lupe, Scott Nicholson, Zoë Winters, and Jeannie Berlin.

According to HBO: In this new season we will also have some new cast members like Annabeth Gish, Adam Godley, Eili Harboe, and Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson. Harriet Walter (Lady Caroline Collingwood), James Cromwell (Ewan Roy), Natalie Gold (Rava Roy), Caitlin Fitzgerald (Tabitha), Ashley Zukerman (Nate Sofrelli), Larry Pine (Sandy Furness), Mark-Linn Baker (Maxim Pierce) and Pip Torrens (Peter Munion) return to the series.
