Mission Majnu Review: ‘War is won not by weapons, but by intelligence.’ Bollywood actor Sidharth Malhotra’s film Mission Majnu begins with these lines. Before January 26, director Shantanu Bagchi’s film based on true events was finally released on Netflix. Siddharth Malhotra has become an Indian spy in the film. He goes to Pakistan and there he marries a girl. Seeing all this, since the release of the trailer, Mission Majnu was being compared to Alia Bhatt’s film ‘Raazi’ in the year 2018. Mission Majnu Review: The Story

As it is clear from the name itself, the hero is out on a mission in the film and what is the mission is clear from the trailer of the film. After losing the 1971 war, Pakistan is making nuclear bombs and India should not allow this to happen at any cost. In such a situation, the hero of the story risks his life and sets out to thwart this mission of the neighboring country. In this episode, Indian spy Amandeep Ajitpal Singh reaches Pakistan by becoming Tarik (Sidharth Malhotra). After reaching here, he marries a blind girl Nasreen (Rashmika Mandanna). Let us tell you that before this mission, Amandeep was called the son of a traitor in Punjab, and he wants to remove this stain from his mother’s name at any cost.

Well, Tariq’s wife Nasreen has no idea about his mission. Here, the government changes in India too which wants to change its relations with Pakistan. However, the RAW chief continues his mission with Amandeep. In such a situation, how is this mission accomplished, and does Nasreen’s love story remain incomplete in this film like ‘Raazi’? To get answers to all these questions, you have to watch this movie on Netflix. Same old basic-C storyline. Tariq, an Indian agent, lives there as a citizen of Pakistan. He has also married a Pakistani girl Nasreen. He has a mission to complete.

The name of the mission is Mission Majnu. Under this, he has to find Pakistan’s nuclear facility, that is, the place where Pakistan is making nuclear bombs. That’s what I was saying in the beginning; When the war is not won with weapons, then they would have allowed Pakistan to make weapons. Well, jokes apart. The film claims that it is based on true events. Maybe because it also takes along the political changes taking place in India and Pakistan. For example: After the Emergency, the formation of the Jansangh government in place of Congress. Coup in Pakistan by General Ziaul.

Mission Majnu Review and Analysis

The movie also has some problems. The detailing could have used some more work. The movie includes a drone shot of Rawalpindi. It contains contemporary water tanks. even though the movie is set in the 1970s. A little too much drama has been added to the scene of Jiaulhaq’s coup. Nasreen’s character appears to be seeing what it cannot at times. Sumit Bhateja, Parveez Sheikh, and Aseem Arora wrote the screenplay, but it doesn’t have the kind of hookup potential. Too predetermined. If you know anything about movies, you can already predict what will happen next. Shantanu Bagchi’s direction is also comparable. There is nothing new or unique to be seen. Yes, maybe he could have done better if he had a good story. However, it is his responsibility to alter the narrative by himself. However, he has performed well.

In this movie, you won’t see jingoism. However, this does not preclude the film from being considered good. Its documentary style impressed me more than anything else. The film begins in this mode and continues in this direction throughout the middle. The fact that it appears genuine is the best part. I desired more from this. If we talk about acting, Sid was able to impress his fans in this movie as well, just like he did in Shershaah Siddharth would be an excellent tailor and agent. In contrast, South actress Rashmika also brought the blind girl’s character to life. From comedy to action and emotion, Siddharth is perfect. Apart from this, Kumud Mishra is also in the role of an agent and his acting is also tremendous. Sharib Hashmi has also done great acting. The film can get the biggest advantage of its release around January 26. The music of the film is good. The songs ‘Rabba Janada’ and ‘Mati Ko Maa Kehte Hain’ touch the heart as soon as they come.

Shantanu Bagchi hasn’t been able to get the actor to work on time. In Shershaah, Siddharth Malhotra was adored by many. However, he has overacted a lot in this movie as Detective Tariq. He is seen overacting horribly at the beginning of the film. Whether the teller is taking his test or asking for work in the mosque. There, they stare at the cloth with their eyes closed. It’s the top off! His work improves throughout the film. It initially appears to be acting in a school play. Nasreen, Siddharth Malhotra’s wife, was played by Rashmika Mandanna. In the movie, she is playing an unnamed character. However, he has not done it justice at all. She appears to be able to see in many places. He has done this work solely for experimentation. The two main actors, Mane, who carried the entire film on their shoulders, were unable to perform particularly well.

However, Zakir Hussain, Sharib Hashmi, and Kumud Mishra have done an excellent job. Both have demonstrated that good actors can establish themselves even in very limited settings. Parmeet Sethi, in addition to him, has performed admirably. This is Siddharth’s second patriotic film. The actor’s Mission Majnu performance will not let you down, just like Sher Shah’s. He has perfectly blended his character’s emotions with his actions. Mission Majnu deserves a chance in such a scenario.

Mission Majnu Review: The Last Words

Good is Shantun Bagchi’s direction. The movie gets right to the point quickly and doesn’t miss a beat. The fact that this movie will be out on January 26 will be its biggest selling point. The film will benefit from the way patriotism is woven throughout. The film’s music is also good. The music of Ketan Sodha touches the heart. When they appear in the movie, the songs Rabba Janada and Mati Ko Maa Kehte Hai touch the heart. This movie is a must-see if you like films about patriotism and Siddharth and Rashmika, and if you like both of those actors.
