In return, their children move in with Ginny’s father, Zion (Nathan Mitchell) in Boston. However, the move does not last long and soon the children return to live with their mother. The relationship opens up even further when Ginny (Antonia Gentry) ends up making a great discovery about her mother. Full of revelations, surprises and a lot of drama, check out the explained ending of Ginny & Georgia Season 2.

Ginny & Georgia Season 2: Plot Summary

We had left Ginny (Antonia Gentry) and her younger brother Austin riding a motorcycle, fleeing the shocking truth the girl had just discovered: it was her mother Georgia (Brianne Howey) who killed – with poison – the abusive ex-stepfather Kenny. At least this is what Gabriel Cordova claims, a private investigator hired by the ex-wife of the woman’s husband to investigate that sudden death. We find the two boys at the home of Ginny’s father, Zion (Nathan Mitchell), from whom the young woman has sought refuge to escape from a mother whom she seems to know no more than her.

But the troubles don’t end there: her best friend Maxine (Sara Waisglass) doesn’t speak to her again after discovering that Ginny slept with her twin brother Marcus (Felix Mallard) without telling her. And while the girl’s existence becomes increasingly complex – as well as punctuated by episodes of self-harm, Georgia tries to keep intact that appearance of perfection so difficult to build over the years, continuing to plan the wedding with the newly elected mayor Paul Randolph (Scott Porter). Will the two be able to find a balance and return to being: You and me against the world?

The story stars feisty Georgia and her daughter Ginny. The two have moved several times and for this reason, the teenager always finds herself, always being the last to arrive at school. A situation that does not allow her to fully integrate. As if that weren’t enough, she often seems like the adult between the two. When mother and daughter move once again to make a fresh start, secrets from Georgia’s past jeopardize their future. The cast stars Antonia Gentry (Raising Dion) as the 15-year-old who often feels overshadowed by her mother, and Brianna Howey (Batwoman) as her feisty mother.

Days With Dad

The second season already features Ginny and Austin (Diesel La Torraca) living with Zion in Boston. During the days of “vacation” at her father’s house, Ginny dreams that her mother suffocates her with a pillow. Like it or not, the dream arrives as a prelude to what would happen. On the other hand, it’s Thanksgiving, and Ginny and Austin become family talk. Zion’s relatives are keen to make it clear how Georgia has been unable to raise her children, especially her daughter, who is black. Also, Zion ends up discovering that Ginny is hurting herself and recommends that her daughter goes to therapy. Having made up his mind, the man says that he will tell Georgia, which Ginny immediately asks her not to tell, and her father obliges.

Frank Talk

On the other hand, Georgia (Nikki Roumel) remains frustrated by her daughter’s escape, not knowing exactly why she has gone to stay with her father. Paul, however, erroneously holds on to the thought that Ginny skipped town on account of her mother’s engagement with him. The truth, which neither of them knows, is that the young woman ran away from home, at first, because of the difficulty in strengthening friendships, especially with her friends. As a young Black woman, Ginny felt the weight of rejection from her non-Black friends.

At one point, Georgia is shocked to discover that her daughter has found out about a big secret: the murder of Kenny, her ex-husband. Though her daughter doesn’t know exactly what motivated her, Georgia remains concerned. Things begin to unravel, however, when her daughter returns home and the two have a heart-to-heart talk. Ginny confesses to knowing about her mother’s crime and tries to explain things. At first, Georgia says that she killed her ex-husband Kenny for touching her improperly. Things become a little clearer, but Ginny is still shocked by Kenny’s death, from wolfsbane poison, and her mother’s ability to do something like that.

Close and Dangerous Relationships

Ginny and Austin’s return to Wellsbury causes a lot of change. Ginny, in turn, receives a rather lukewarm response from her friends, who aren’t too concerned about her disappearance. The exception, however, is Marcus (Felix Mallard), who ends up getting even closer to the protagonist. On the other hand, Maxine (Sara Waisglass), Marcus’ twin sister, and her group of friends are keen to show their indifference to the young woman. However, the relationships between both find a safe path and everyone starts to have a fluid friendship after settling.

Georgia, however, remains dangerous and manipulative, now using her “gift” for good. Or, at least, for her good. The woman starts to help her husband Paul, organize events and started to set up the mayor’s social networks, which received significant growth and became popular. His wife’s attitude displeased him, as he sees her taking care of everything, but does not let him participate in her problems. In addition, Georgia begins to strengthen a relationship with Cynthia Fuller (Sabrina Grdevich), leading her son Austin to start a friendship with Zach (Connor Laidman), his former bully. Things suddenly change in the last episode with the return of Gil (Aaron Ashmore) to take an active part in his son’s life. Georgia and Paul’s wedding day finally arrives, but nothing goes as planned. Thought to be a fairytale wedding, Georgia heads to the town hall with her daughter in a carriage drawn by Joe’s horse, Milkshake. However, the dream soon turns into a nightmare when Georgia is arrested and accused of killing Tom Fuller.

Tom Fuller’s Death?

The events narrated in episodes 8 and 9 of the second season of Ginny & Georgia were not conventional. Therefore, important acts, and arcs, took place in these episodes, which were essential to explaining the reason for the ending. At first, Cynthia is keen to tell Georgia how unhappy she is with Tom’s situation, who has been in a coma for a while and with no hope of improvement. Also, the woman is seeing Joe (Raymond Ablack), the owner of the Blue Farm Café, and says that a part of her would like Zach, her son, to remember his father as the active man he was, not the state he was. is found. Then the woman says she feels bad for thinking about these things.

Georgia then decides to fix the situation. As Cynthia goes to check on the boys, the woman walks up to Tom Fuller and suffocates him with a pillow. What Georgia didn’t expect, however, was that her son Austin, who was playing hide and seek and hid in a closet, saw the whole scene. However, Georgia is charged moments after her marriage to Paul when PI Gabriel Cordova (Alex Mallari Jr.)  is arrested. Georgia is accused of killing Tom Fuller and in a conversation with the investigator, it is understood that someone informed the police that Georgia had committed the crime.

Who Informed the Police?

Theories are many, as it was not understood who handed the woman over to the police. A strong possibility is that the police traced the fingerprints of Paul’s now-wife since Tom’s body was left behind, unlike Georgia’s other two victims. Cynthia, one of his great enemies, appears as another suspect. On the other hand, Austin, her son, when pressed, says that he didn’t tell anyone what he saw. At first, Austin would be the only one capable, so far, of delivering the crime with all the details. The boy’s visit to his father, however, may have triggered an unconscious conversation and the boy may have blurted something out. Details after Georgia’s arrest, however, will only be seen in a possible third season of Ginny & Georgia, on Netflix.
