Good Omens 2: Announced The Release Of The New Season | Amazon Prime Video

Good Omens 2 finally has a release window for 2023. The new season of the Amazon Prime Video series will arrive in the streaming catalog during the summer of next year. This was announced by the show’s cast and creators during New York Comic Con 2022. Good Omens means Aziraphale and Crowley: the angel and the devil with a rather unusual relationship are the real beating heart of the show based on the book of the same name by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, and everything suggests that things will stay the same in this second season of which we finally have a poster.

Good Omens 2: Poster and Release Date

At the Good Omens panel that took place this weekend at NYCC 2022, the actors and writers of the fantasy series talked about the second season coming to Prime Video. The first season 2 poster was also shared, showing Crowley, David Tennant’s demon, along with his best friend Aziraphale, Michael Sheen’s angel, posing back-to-back. The slogan, “Something’s going down in the up,” is linked to the plot of the second season which will reportedly tell a mystery involving both Crowley and Aziraphale.

The first season of Good Omens was released on Prime Video on May 31, 2019. The play adapted the entire original novel by Neil Gaiman and the late Terry Pratchett. Although conceived and marketed as a limited series, Good Omens was renewed for a second season in June 2021. The second season will tell an entirely new story but will also incorporate ideas for the sequel that both Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett had. thought over 32 years ago. “Terry is no longer here, but when he was, we talked about what we wanted to do with Good Omens and where the story would go” Nel Gaiman previously said, adding: “And now, thanks to BBC Studios and Amazon, I can lead history in that direction”.

Filming for the second season of Good Omens began in Scotland in November 2021 and concluded in March 2022. In addition to David Tennant and Michael Sheen, the new season will also see the return of Michael McKean, Miranda Richardson, Reece Shearsmith, Nina Sosanya, Maggie Service, Gloria Obianyo, Doon Mackichan and Jon Hamm. New cast members include Liz Carr, Quelin Sepulveda and Shelley Conn.
