Goodbye Movie Review: The Story

Amitabh and Neena Gupta have four children who are different settlers. Neena dies of a heart attack and then how does Amitabh invite his children to his wife’s funeral and do those children love their family? This is the story of the film. Where Tara ie Rashmika Mandanna, who became a lawyer, is avoiding customs like why cotton is put in the nose after death and why are the feet tied. So there Pavel Gulati is busy with his work and life. Even in the last journey of the mother, the AirPods do not come off the ear and the phone goes on working. A son is stuck in Dubai and Amitabh overhears that he is eating butter chicken after hearing the news of his mother’s death. At the same time, a son has gone to the mountains and he comes when the mother’s last rites have been done. The story raises many questions related to science and faith.

The film begins with the death of a family. Amitabh Bachchan’s character Harish’s wife passes away. In such difficult times, he wants to bring the children living away from himself under one roof. Children come but with their issues. The issues, due to which they were living separately. How does this time affect the bonding of their family, this is the rough story of the film. But it’s not just that. It is said that humor is found in every situation. No matter how odd or tragic it is. In general terms, what would be more tragic than someone’s death? This happens even after the death of Neena Gupta’s character Gayatri. Gayatri was the center of her home. The one who manages everything. Most built. One day suddenly she left. Harish does not know what to do now. What are the traditions of someone’s funeral? Gayatri’s body is kept on the verandah of the house.

Somebody said that it should be in the north direction. Everyone together then starts turning it in the north. Then someone sows a seed of doubt in the middle that the answer is not this, it is that. turn it on again. Women from the neighborhood come. Whose focus is on when the chair will be empty? The feet who have fallen asleep while sitting on the ground. Talking about morning walk. After Gayatri’s departure, she is thinking of a new name for her new WhatsApp group Mahila Mandal. These are completely normal things. We see it happening around us. It’s not like trying to forcefully extract humor in a sad state. The film keeps bringing such situations in front of you continuously. But there is a point worth noting here. That it does not in any way show the effect of Gayatri’s death in light. How does the sudden departure of a person affect the people close to him, marks are seen throughout the film.

Goodbye Movie Review and Analysis

For this reason, it is not that the story has been presented only by wrapping it in humor. The film is also strong on the emotional front. Some parts come and go directly into the ribs. Doesn’t want to feel anything, Except the water floating in their eye. Amidst the silence of the cinema hall, the sound of one’s breath is not even felt. Somebody is among us. We laugh, fight, and make memories with him. Being careless that one day this caravan will stop forever. Such people become our habit. And often habits don’t go away quickly. Nor should there be any coercion to leave them. There is a scene in the film about this habit. Where Pavel’s character gives voice to his mother Gayatri. Once. twice. Then suddenly hits him that there will be no answer from the front when the mother calls. never gonna come. Waits a few moments. Then starts calling. Perhaps the memories of the mother that resides inside you.

Death is still an uncomfortable topic for us today. The mother will interrupt if she mentions it at home. Say good-bye. We believe in human life. Celebrate him. grandly. But not to death. We associate the stopping of life with the stopping of the journey. Wants to see this film apart from that thinking. How my memories, or the way that person made us feel, in those ways, he can live among us even after he is gone. This is a good attempt made on such a topic in mainstream cinema. It is also not that in the writing of the film, the film forgets to give background to some of its important characters. Also forgets what to do with them now. How do they take the narrative forward?

Amitabh Bachchan has done a great job. Amitabh’s acting cannot be reviewed anyway. He fits perfectly in his character. It is nice to see Rashmika Mandanna in a modern character after Pushpa’s Srivalli. Rashmika questions the customs. Ask for their logic. Rashmika has done Hindi dubbing well. Although somewhere South accent comes, even then she manages to win hearts. Rashmika was a big reason for me to watch this film because she looks fresh. There is newness in them. Pavel Gulati has done a good job. In the affair of work, this character, who balances the balance between the family, has also suited him. The rest of the characters are also fine.

Goodbye Movie

The film is a family drama. Somewhere it looks good but still, you do not fully connect with the film. Amitabh and Rashmika look good but the film overall seems a bit weak. You are not able to feel the emotion that was expected from this film. The film also makes you laugh, it also tries to make you cry somewhere. Reminds you of the family too but if the story and screenplay were a little better, it could have been better. In the end, you do not understand what this film wants to say. You like the film in some parts but the whole film does not bind you. Ramprasad’s thirteenth has also been made on the same issue and it was a much better film than this, but even then this film makes you realize that you love your family. Do you care about them?

Goodbye Movie Review: The Last Words

‘Goodbye’ means goodbye, many times we do not get the last chance to say this to our loved ones. If it remains, then just regress. I wish it had been done at that time. The film is only about giving that last goodbye to someone. There are some flaws but still, I would say that it should be seen. If you are a fan of Amitabh and Rashmika and if you like family drama, then definitely watch this film.
